I love a sunburnt country,

A land of sweeping plains,

Of ragged mountain ranges,

Of droughts and flooding rains,

I love her far horizons,

I love her jewel-sea,

Her beauty and her terror,

The wide brown land for me

Dorothea Mackellar

This poem titled "I love a sunburnt country" by Dorothea Mackellar describes both the beauty and the harshness that is Australia, my homeland. Australia is a large country with very diverse landscapes, from beautiful beaches, stunning mountain ranges and harsh deserts.

These photos depict the beauty of the cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Sydney situated between stunning beaches and the majestic harbour and Melbourne divided by the Yarra river.
